At 5am here, Bella had a little trip to the courtyard and was then happy to snuggle back up in bed with me and Sophie. Sophie did a funny thing last night when I climbed in bed with her; she snuggled right into the small of my back. I think she might have been cold; i felt sad and happy all at the same time.
Well, I've paid a few bills this morning and got them out to the post box, tidy up the kitchen and around the house a bit, and there is an angel food cake in the oven. A little later, I am going to run over to the apartment for a few minutes and on the way back I hope to stop and get some berries to go with the cake for our dessert tonight. It does feel good to get a few things taken care of first thing in the morning, before I start work. Maybe it makes me feel a bit like I have a life that really IS more than just work. And maybe I do; maybe I need to recognize, acknowledge, and nurture those parts of my life.
