Today the gardener arrived! Hurray! She filled three bags full of green waste and the progress made on the front corner rock garden is pretty impressive. Turns out she is the daughter of the waitress at Don's. She made a comment about visiting her mom who was just back from a trip to the Panama Canal; two plus two equals a small town and I do think she was fairly pleased that we had heard about her mom's trip. She was very gracious and before leaving made a comment that you don't hear much these days, "thank you for the work". Wow. Let me try that, "Thank you for the work."
My pita bread worked today! The bit I did last night for dinner turned out more like a cracker. At lunch time today, I moved the stone down on the the bottom rack and the bread puffed up like it was supposed. I used about 1/2 whole wheat and 1/2 white flour and it was quite nice with my middle eastern tasty delights.
Sophie is snoozing on the couch and Bella is still playing. She is in the courtyard now, but I am hoping she'll come in from the fresh air ready for a good nights sleep in the kennel. Today she discovered that she CAN get up on the bed all by herself.
