Wrap things up

My flight tomorrow is at 7:40 and it's supposed to rain so that could mean traffic.  I'll plan to check out at about 5:45 and the off we'll go.

Today while driving from the hotel to the factory it struck me that it is very difficult to tell construction from destruction here.   Like an amazing gate that my cousins would love to clean up and powder coat that looks like it has been sitting right there for centuries and there is construction all around it.  is the construction bring something down or putting something up.  I am not sure who would be able to tell you.  I have this sense that workers are told to do "this specific thing" and that's what they do.  they don't ask, here is this thing i am doing, what's it going to be?  let alone why?  as a matter of fact my experience of Indonesians ask "why" really means "no".  They can sure put up a fence fast though - litterally, too.  And they have a good eye for reusing stuff.  They took canteen table frames and worked them into fencing sections that they then covered with chain link.  looked pretty good and I think it was done in about 30 hours.  I'll have to post those pictures sometime.

So leaving the hotel at 6am.  I am going to have a shower now and try to go to bed cool.  i've had a sleeping pill, so i better get that done before that sucker kicks in.

wish you a "peaceful" "peace filled" day.
